Rachel Jaques

I was born on April 17, 2007 in Calgary to Byron and Tanya Jaques. My full name is Rachel Marie Jaques, but I am known as Rach or Rachy. I have two younger sisters and two cats. I started Pre-K with the Jenner play group and started kindergarten at Jenner school,  where I excelled greatly in both school and sports. I decided to switch to South Central High School in grade 9, where I would continue and finish my high school career. Since I was 5, I have been skiing every winter, and I love skiing more than any other sport. Some of my favorite memories growing up revolved around skiing. One of my favorite school memories is going on the Belize trip. I started playing basketball in grade 7 and continued to play my final year, in grade 12, as a Scorpion. I also played badminton up until grade 11. One of my favorite hobbies is swimming. I started 4-H when I was 9 years old, and I have been in it for 9 years. I have done both the foods, market lamb, and yearling ewe projects. My favorite project was in my 7th year, working with my Market Lamb, Rory. After graduation, I plan to attend a university science program to get my degree. I aspire to become an optometrist.
